It's a bright and sunny day. Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, your favorite show is coming back for the next season on Netflix, but you know what isn't coming back? That text you've been waiting for. Why? Because you've been given a mixed signal and now your mind can't stop thinking about it. Why? Again, because now you're falling for someone who may or may not be interested in seeing you. While your relationship status changing from "single" to "in a relationship" is debatable, this situation is the worst mainly because:
1. You were never going to think about it but here you are
This person existed in your life. You knew him and he was good to you, but what happened then? They came back like that most embarrassing thing you did about a 100 years ago comes back haunting you at 2 a.m. in the morning. So now you can't stop thinking, about the embarrassment and also the guy. They probably dug out the past, remembered things about you so now you're over the moon that at least someone cares.
2. They're on your mind 24x7
Now after stalking the hell out of their lives and knowing even their maid's Instagram handle you have little sparks of hope flying. They're feeding your assumptions by texting back in less than 3 seconds and now you've imagined your wedding day with them. Don't even deny.
3. You're justifying their actions
So it happened that they didn't text you back. They must've not read your text or worst, turned off the blue tick for the texts (this kills you in anticipation, btw) but what are you doing? Finding answers for their mysterious disappearance. So you narrow down your findings and the possibilities are:
A. They are genuinely busy and you are hoping to get a text back anytime soon
B. They have run out of words to write a reply, the alphabets A-Z won't do justice
C. Your text was too much to take. So much that a reply could've hurt their sentiments if there were any
D. They are actually NOT INTERESTED
This only gets better, and here comes the...
Shocking much? But what went wrong? Your expectations maybe. Because things didn't turn out the way you wanted them to. But maybe they were never supposed to. We are easily upset because of their absence and you're constantly wanting to fill the void. Chances are, you may entirely give up on the idea of dating a person.
5. You can't figure the way ahead because their actions are confusing you
Simply put, it feels like you're stuck in the traffic, and you're are at the yellow light. The best way to deal with this guy is either getting closure or letting go. You could actually talk it out or start believing that if it's meant to be, it will be. Who knows, you may actually find someone who has nothing to do with your past and likes you now, as you are.
